WINGS With A Little Luck

Показать описание
The extraordinary career of Paul McCartney spans 6 decades! As songwriter and performer as well as producer and musician, there is simply nothing that he has not achieved in his lifetime. His 1970's creation Wings, soared in the pop culture for a decade, and helped define the best of contemporary music for the 1970's and early 80's. A further solo career occurred for the next decade, and while the best of McCartney is undoubtedly behind him, he is still a force to be reckoned with.
As I was born at the time that the Beatles were creating havoc especially in Australia, i was more aware of the Wings era, but like a lot of people, see the indelible and probably unequaled impact that the original Fab Four have had on the music industry. Wings released a slew of best selling albums and singles that were successful right around the world. 'Mull of Kintyre' was their biggest seller in Australia at the end of 1977, but the 'London Town' LP and the next single 'With A Little Luck' brought Wings considerable attention too. Reaching the Top 5 in Britain, 'With A Little Luck' just missed the Top 10 in Australia but was high on radio rotation for many months, and is one of my favourite tracks from the band. The next album 'Back to the Egg' in 1979 features some of the best material the band produced in my opinion including 'Getting Closer', 'Old Siam Sir', 'Goodnight Tonight' and 'Arrow through me'. It was their 7th & final album under the moniker Wings.
I have posted the longer and original album version of 'With A Little Luck' for this clip.
Enjoy.
