Hypoparthyroidism

Parathormone is an extremely important hormone which is essential for normal neuromuscular function, calcium homeostasis and bone health. There are normally 4 small sized glands present on the backside of thyroid gland. They usually work as one unit and keep the calcium and phosphate levels in a very narrow physiological range. Like other hormones there may be deficiency of this hormone resulting in hypoparathyroidism. This video discusses various types, diagnosis and management of hypothyroidism.
