I constantly mean to start the Harry Dresden series and never do. Had to pause the video to see if the audiobooks are on Libby and they are, yay! So I’m in the queue for the first book now. Lie or Die’s reality Tv show set up really appeals to me. For some reason I love that sort of set up.

I believe Butcher considers Changes the end of ‘part 1’ of the overall story, hence the slow build again with Ghost Story/Cold Days and beyond. I love that. What a journey this has been.

I love the Dresden series. It’s probably one of my all time favorite series. “Changes” was so good, I devoured it when I first read it.

This is awesome. I need to get back to the Dresden books - this could be the nudge I needed. I'm glad you liked Abandon - I want to read every book by Crouch eventually. I'm only 4 books in. I need to get the Tchaikovsky too, loved what I've read by him. So glad you're going to be there on Saturday!! - see you there!!!

Great reads! Lie or Die sees very interesting, and I was actually recommended one of Crouch's book, but not this one, I'll check it! Thanks for sharing, I love how you bring to the forefront so many different books, thank you for that!

🏔️ Ooo, ooo, I just recently hauled Crouch’s “Abandon” too! I read his “Wayward Pines” series back in 2014 (a decade ago 😱 my word) and have recently been picking up his recent works, based on all the BookTube hypewagon - also, incidentally, the three titles shown on the back of your hardcover edition of “Abandon”. Then I tried to get “Abandon” last year, or the year before maybe, and even the ‘zon admitted defeat and cancelled my order. So I was surprised when a new edition popped up, which likely explained the problem with my original order.
