Only a small mistake : Chat gpt 4 has 1.4 trilion conections while the human brain has ~100 trilions

Kyle: "It's the best chatbot ever."
ARIA: "Am I a joke to you?"

When you reach human levels of comprehension you also reach human level of miscomprehension.

Anything we can fk up AI can fk up better. It’s based on us after all.

I have a question, does anyone actually like AI art? Like, it looks weird usually & it’s hurting the REAL artists by copying their art styles and replacing jobs.

Forget the information ecosystem, I’m worried about what it’s doing to the literal ecosystem 😭

But it doesn't "simulate" anything. It doesn't think, it doesn't make connections. It only guesses based on the most likely word to come next, it's just a larger version of the predictive text on your keyboard.

Someone made a joke that lives rent free in my brain. If this technology suddenly became sentient… It wouldn’t tell us.

it should be noted;
a single human nuron carries about 50 assigned connections, and internally each neruon has the complexity of a old computer that can play doom.

Thats not to say ChatGPT is not as complex has a human brain, but to say a human brain has multitudes more function at a moment, even though our brains operate at a slower speed, thats why humans broadly can fully reconize and understand the concept of words, animals, etc using much much less energy.

Hey Kyle, thanks for making videos. They’re very interesting to watch

I feel like the problem with chatgpt is it's not really AI though, it may be capable of a lot of complex things, but it's just a pool of info, there's no actual intellect, I mean it still struggles with basic trig or calc equations, typically skipping a step or just giving the wrong answer, despite all previous steps being correct.
It also lacks the ability to edit and or fix it's own code, when chatgpt becomes capable of that, that's when we should worry, but until then it, on it's own, is harmless

That’s a broad definition of celebrities you had there

We as society haven't figured out how to use social media responsibly. Unless we figure that out, I doubt we'll ever engineer the instruments to deal with the consequences of AI.

Wild Take: we don’t use all our brain to understand language.

Kyle, you're drastically over-stating the capabilities of ChatGPT and avoiding the ecological and theft issues with the tech. Please read the Stochastic Parrots paper that discussed the limitations of the tech before uncritically gushing over it.

Don't tell Aria that you like ChatGPT so much, Kyle!

Or maybe a neural network of sufficient size can also allow a problem as complex as consciousness to emerge

I love it! It’s more helpful than google. I don’t have to wade through sponsored crap

No, it has about 1.3 trillion connections or operations, whereas the human brain has about 100 trillion synaptic connections.
