To get slides to work on third party sounds like 808's just 1. record that 808 sound into edison. 2. Put that recorded sound into the channel rack. Now you can use it as a fl studio sound, Thank you an i hop this helps someone besides myself.

Please Help me. I have to two part question:
1: When I open omnisphere 2 everything works fine, but I can't add it to Piano Roll. It just creates a sample track but it is not sending omnisphere 2 to the piano roll so that I can start recording my midi???
2: When I play an instrument I have to manually change the MIDI input (port) channel number back and forth depending on the instrument I want to play, this happens every time. How can I make it to play by just selecting a channel without having to go back and forth every time for each instrument channel???

some Tips in text format
1. CRTL + UP or DOWN - to move by octaves
2. ALT + Q - to quantize (select magnet icon to change snap settings, 1/2 is recommended)
3. (Slice Tool) SHIFT + RIGHT CLICK - deletes extra note length
4.(Slice Tool) SHIFT + LEFT CLICK - Chops notes
5. CRTL + SHIFT - Select multiple notes
6. (Velocity) RIGHT CLICK - consistent velocity
7.( With notes selected) SHIFT + LEFT CLICK - duplicates notes
8. CRTL + U - Slices note to grid value.

I did'nt ad a thumbs up not he previous videos because I was going along with the videos. Just received my copy of FL, but I'm sure I will go back and do so. Pretty good info and for you to take the time to show the most important functions is super cool. Do you know of any way these methods can be shown for the MAC? I have both PC and Mac. I use the Mac most of the time when I'm home, but I take my laptop to work and that's windows.... Just want to learn on both to be efficient. I'm also learning Studio One I know the 2 dudes to go to. Everyone My opinion. You guys help a lot of people... Sure of that.

i want to convert anysong say mps or WAV into piano roll with out it playing each note as a whole song each making them over lap and make a paradox of the same song playing no matter the size of the note in the roll question is how do i isolate the keys to a single short note with out it turning into a paradox of the entire sample playing over its self like its not even in piano roll no matter what even if the note is [ ] <--- this big it will play the whole sample like it was never shorten and if i have it in piano roll each one of these [ ] <---- will do the same making a paradox of random tones but playing the whole song with each piano roll note im trying to find the answer as to wtf this is and how to make it stop and just play that part of the song in the length in the piano roll so i can change it to what ever key i want it to

how come on your note e.g the green note you got note names but when i try in piano roll view all i can do is change piano to classic etc i can put notes on side paino roll but thats it what am i doing wrong
