I think many of you are missing the point, FTC is there to protect consumers. What she's talking about is only in the benefit of us not the other way around. I don't understand how having monopolies benefits you guys? So defend it like it's your company?

Why don't people just turn down interviews if they're not going to answer any questions?

Watched a NYTs town hall with Andrew Ross Sorkin interviewing Lina Khan and his perspective was so entrenched in a pro-business mindset that I thought he was a commerce lobbyist and pretty much the opposite of an objective journalist. Just another example of how the scales are tilted to benefit businesses instead of everyday Americans.

Kahn is making very important points about the need to hold corporations accountable and prevent monopolies. It’s too bad this was edited so awkwardly, because I think it would be clearer if we could just watch the whole conversation (or if this dude was better at summarizing). The comments responding that she is too young or “jealous” (lol) really don’t understand the stakes of allowing monopolies to buy out other companies and consolidate every industry. Agree or disagree with her strategy, she has the best interest of the economy and businesses in mind (unless you prefer the world when mega corporations face no consequences for selling your data).

Lina Khan logic. If you're successful, you're doing something wrong

Her body language suggests she was rather uncomfortable or not yet settled in to this role. I'm sure she's smart but appears way to young for this job. Bad for megacaps most likely.

Another affirmative action hire. Shouldn't an economist understand economics?

Jesus who is this woman? Her voice and her eye movements are truly disturbing and unsettling... Not to mention she is obviously nervous and inadequate for the position.
