This is a must see video if you are planning to sail on MSC inside the US Market. This review was from my September 2023 sailing from Port Canaveral. There were some very nice components to this cruise however there were also some major challenges. The food quality and the ship design were disappointing. #msc #mscseaside #cruise

You are the first person to date that I have heard describe the pizza as mediocre. I will have to formulate my own opinions when I go in a week.

As a veteran cruiser myself (25 cruises on 5 different lines), I totally agree about the layout of the ship. It is not easy to maneuver and the elevators are always busy. We stayed in a balcony room and thought the size of the cabin was roomy. I was annoyed that I had to request a washcloth EVERY day of the cruise (but did not receive). Why wasn’t this part of the towel service? The entertainment on the ship was excellent! Our dining room experience was not good at all. The food was sub-par at best. The main buffet on deck 8 was a nightmare due to the awkward setup, long lines and mediocre food. We usually went to the smaller buffet on deck 16. The food was just ok but we didn’t have to wait in long lines. Ocean Cay is gorgeous! However, there is not adequate signage on the island. We did enjoy the sports bar on the ship. We ordered the wings & nachos (extra cost) and they were the best things we ate the entire time onboard. The service on the ship is ok- definitely not the best I’ve experienced. Overall, I’m not sure I would cruise this line again based on the poor quality of the food.

Brutal. I wonder if some things would have been higher if a longer cruise? I am going on a 7 day in November. Same ship. I went on the Seascape in June. Probably a nearly 5 star cruise but we were Yacht Club.

Never been on MSC but their prices make them very tempting. My wife has been on a European cruise with them and enjoyed it, although her mom was not as satisfied. I thought about going on one of their 4 days on this ship in a few weeks but ended up booking with Royal instead. I think the biggest issue is they are inconsistent in just about every category.

Tissues are supplied on request as are xtra pillows and hangers.
Tissues were not in staterooms due to the fact guests were clogging the toilets.
But are available.
On short cruises the light show is shortened due to time.
MSC is a great value for the $$$.

We just went on a week-long cruise on the Seaside two weeks ago. Definitely the buffet was average. We thought the dining food room was good. Entertainment was very good. The biggest problem we had on this ship was that ice cream was available from 12 to 4 in one of the buffets. If MSC wants to increase their American business they really need to have ice cream available all day in more then one location on the ship!!😂 But for the price it was a very good 7 day cruise.

Hi! My friends and I are looking to book a cruise soon and our options are Holland Rotterdam, NCL Joy, NCL Escape and MSC Seashore. We went on MSC Seascape last year (one of its first sailings) and our experience was similar to yours. From your other reviews, it sounds like your preference would be HAL but would love to know your thoughts!!

That was brutal, I'm sailing this ship in 20 days, I'm a bit concerned!! Taking my brother on his first cruise, I hope this is not our experience.... UGH

I thought your review was extremely well done. I wish you would give him a little bit more time to the dining room. Excuse me in the Buffay little bit more detail about the Buffay, but well done.
