DARKSPORE Update - Feb 2020

I must stress, though I may not be able to give any technical programming updates, progress is still being made! I know many of you just want to dig in and play the game, thus I'm sorry to share that it's not available yet, but the team are still working hard at it. On the plus side, they have added a library of parts into the hero editor, allowing for some creative fun!

Those with knowledge of C++ may be able to provide some assistance, especially with OpenSSL and RakNet - Otherwise, come show your support and have a play with the hero editor!

Unfortunately there's nothing tangible that I can announce. The editor is still playable as a creative tool. The game itself, sadly, is still unavailable.

As someone who never got to experience Darkspore before it shut down, getting to the hero editor for the first time with ReCap was a really cool new experience for me. Speaking of which, you should do a guide based on our methods to port Darkspore heroes into Spore using the Darkspore Creature Converter and Dark Injection. Those have existed since about 2016 I believe, and they still work with ReCap-based Darkspore heroes I've found.

As a part of that potential tutorial, you could also showcase how to upload modded creations into the official Sporepedia using either the lineage or adventure exploits, and showcase it in action by uploading a Darkspore hero/one of the ones I uploaded last year.

-And as for porting Spore creatures into Darkspore... I hope it becomes a thing, too!-

This is awesome. I bought and played Darkspore around when it first came out and seeing this for the first time blew my mind. It's amazing to see that there are people working on restoring this game and I'd love to know more about how they're doing so.

I've no skill in programming and I've got school on my head, but still I hope to encourage the creators, You guys are damn amazing, I'd never thought someone would be able to revive something killed by EA and dang You guys are doing it. For us, for players, for we togheter miss this game. Btw just wondering what would EA's reaction to this project be like XD.

A Jowwi Blitz, of course, you would. :D Jokes aside, the fact you can even mess with the heroes is great alone. I'd love this to be playable, I still say it was a crime to what happened to this game. It had flaws, yes, but it was an unqiue experience. Here's hoping we'll see this playable solo, nevermind if they figured out multiplayer. :)
