Casio Casiotone MT-100 semi-analog Synth 41 Mods (Circuit Bent by BAUM)

I have added 34 Switches 6 Potentiometers and 1 Fader in 2 breakout boxes.
Now it is a very useful Device. You can create Alien sounds and nice crunchy Basslines.

I used to have this keyboard back in 1986 and it was good for a beginner as I was then. The graphic EQ was totally useless for sound shaping, so I never used it. There were some nice sounds and drum patterns, but the lack of key velocity or a sequencer made it very limited. The same year I added a Yamaha PSS-560 and connected two cassette recorders together, so I could bounce tracks and make 3 or 4 track recordings. I still have most of the songs I made on tape too! The last few were ok.

Can you explain what the black toggles switches are doing to modify the stock sounds? Does this work like the data line mod that you do to FM keyboards in one of your other videos? I see on mine that there is a main CPU and a separate sound chip but I only see 6 data lines between chips, not 8. I already know how to do the FM data line mod on other keyboards but I would really appreciate any feedback or pointers you could give me on bending this keyboard. Thank you.

Can you unplug those breakout boxes from the keyboard and use it as normal, or are the breakout boxes hard wired into the keyboard and so permanently attached?

Quick question. I noticed you are using the headphone jack as a line out. Is there any risk in damaging the keyboard by doing this?
I bought an MT-100 last night and was LOVING it. But then it stopped working today and I'm wondering if it is because I used the headphone jack as a line out and fried something.
