This video was made to help beginners or diy'ers tackle their boat wiring projects. I cover a lot of material so I listed a video outline above to help you find a specific need or topic. The goal was to make a user friendly, full guide, to help you wire your jon boat.

First, I'll give you a quick walk thru of the project boat we will wire in, a 1852 Lowe Big Jon aluminum jon boat.

Then, we hit the work bench and I draw a wiring diagram explaining the overall wiring system within one of my aluminum boat projects.

Next, I go in depth and show you all the wiring, parts, accessories and tools I use within a jon boat wiring job.

After that, we go back out to the Lowe jon boat and I give an in depth walk thru of some of the accessories already installed and demonstrate how the boat was rough wired before aluminum decking.

After that, the real meat of the video. I will show you in depth and in full effect how I wire. I cover how I wire in gang switch panels, wire in a battery shut off or kill switch, wiring terminal connectors, installing a fuse box, wiring in an accessory to a fuse box and gang switch step by step, 14 gauge butt connections and terminal connectors, 2 to 1 wiring, and more!

Last, a final walk thru of the finished boat wiring in the project aluminum jon boat dream machine!!!

Best demonstration I have seen as yet. You begin with an exp and simple diagram. You showed the size of wire and why. You showed and listed the components plus the tools for wiring connections. You explained what products are to be used where and why. You left no need to out no matter what level of knowledge the viewer had. Good job, your parents raised you right and your teachers did a good job too. Give yourself a raise. Oh and not only did you master your trade, you mastered how to do video production in an organized manner. When doing 2-to-1 connections I would add a bit of liquid tape on the two-wire side as the heat shrink tube cannot seal against water.
