Multiple (Not Just 1) Causes for this problem. I hope I get them all,
1. Clogged inside air filters or outside cooling coils, or other obstructions in the cooling air flow paths.
2. Air leaks between the cooled air and warm intake air paths in the ductwork connection in box in the celling under the rooftop unit and above the air filter. It is best to take aluminum duct tape to completely seal up these air flow boxes. You do not want any air leakage between the cold (dry) and warm (humid) air paths.
3. Physically disconnected, or inoperative freeze sensor attached to the condenser. This sensor is supposed to shut off the compressor if freezing conditions are detected on the condenser.
4. Very high ambient humidity and heat conditions which may inundate condenser with water condensed out of the ambient air, thereby impeding air flow.

A good 2 minute tip for people to clean their own AC, or pay a tech to do it .

What freezes on my unit (13500 Coleman) isn't the coils but those pipes next to the fan. I cleaned everything and still having this problem especially with high humidity outside (not sure if that's just a coincidence).

We own a 2015 Keystone Cougar 5th wheel Model RES that is parked at an RV Park and during the summet when it gets hot we turn on our Roof AC and every so often the AC will stop blowing cold air but doesnt shut off but just stops blowing cold air but you can still hear the AC unit running then it starts blowing cold air again this lasts about a second and a half or two seconds We have no trees around our trailer or tall shrubs etc and during the winter we put on our ac cover and make sure its tightly fitting around the base of the unit and wrap a bungee cord around the whole cover so it doesnt come loose during the winter months when we close up .Could this intermittent stopage of the ac be from a dirty condensor or coil or something else .

Hi, enjoy your videos a lot. I have a 13, 500 btu unit on my class b. During these hot, hot days here in Texas I run my a/c from shore power on high. Is it ok to run it on high for several hours every day or is it best to run it on low? I have it set at 85º and just don't want the inside of my class b to be above 120º. This a/c is a new install and has an auto function too, would it be okay to use that instead of just high?
