I got one 5 years ago, great little quick splicer but you have to know how to use one, it does not have 900 um
removable holder, they should make one, this product will go above and beyond. I strictly got it to do repairs
and less than 100 splice per job, most fibers I work with in the US are 900 um tight buffer, this fiber he is using is in another country not the United States. If you are in the US do not get this unless you figure a way to keep that 900 um buffer down when clamping down in the holder. I have splice thousands and thousands
of fiber, it took me a few attempts to get those fibers to align correctly and get a below.02, I have gotten
.00 or .01 but very very slowly. Had a job where the welders burned OM2 -12 in the ceiling, got the fiber back up in less than 20 minutes on an aerial lift. Being a high profit grocery store the fiber was linked to all the front check out registers, it would have taken a team over 8 hours to get the new fiber, install and terminate.
