IVE HAD AN IS SINCE 2019 ASWELL. ITS A SH*T BOX RN BUT ONE DAY ITS GOING TO BE FULLY BUILT!!! I didn’t know or care abt cars until recently so I kinda tore it apart. But that’s part of the reason I love it sm and why it will feel so much better to build it up!

Got my 01 back in 02. Was my daily for 12 years. Now she’s garage Queen, and only comes out every now and then 😂. It’s really nice to see that the is300 is finally getting the attention they deserve. I get tons of compliments, and unwanted suggestions on what mods she needs next 😂 but I guess that’s the price of driving a modern classic

I have OBX headers and Y-Pipe, and Revel Medallion Touring catback (the quiet model) on the car, and the sound is now my favourite part of the car.

Headers to change the exhaust tone, a good quality muffler and resonator to keep it quiet off-throttle. And you’ve got a beautiful recipe.

Just gotta be ready to put some money and thought into it.

thanx for sharing your honest opinions
just discovered these cars after being into 1970s or older cars my whole life and am keen to get one of these or a gs300 so good to hear what actual owners have to say about them

I have 2 is300's currently. I enjoy the chassis a lot. I am trying to get a oem manual from Copart so I can swap my slicktop. I think everything you said was true. I have to get some buckets like yours though!

Spent like 2G on figs suspension stuff and did a full refresh on my 05 IS and I didn't regret spending the money the quality of the stuff was top notch, spherical bearings and greasable bushings and lots of adjustments I recommended anyone willing to spend the money to get the figs stuff, really wanna get some BC coils to replace the ISC coils I have now, they're great but I wanna see if the BC is any better, brakes then power mods, so many options for the IS it really is a great car to start modifying or for a first drift car

14k miles in 4 years? Ive put 40k miles on my gs400 in a year! Best and most reliable car I've ever had! I guess 14k drift miles is equivalent to 40k street miles tho. I just wish they made more (or more affordable) performance stuff for the 1UZ. But...10/10 I'd buy it again!

Looking to get one, looking at different one with 205k miles but it’s really well maintained but might try to look for a different one with less miles

Just subscribed to the channel big fan of the car and the fact your drift 💯🔥is cool I’ve been trying to get a drift car and learn it’s been a struggle I love the fact it’s a four door and more comfortable I’m stuck between e36 and 350z but looking at your car is making me rethink

Awesome video man, been watching pretty much since you bought the car. I attended one of your drift events at thunder hill, my IS300 is black. I agree with everything you said in this video.

Great video bro!!! About two weeks ago I finally bought one. I’m also coming from Honda (I still own a 96 Ek hatch) which I’m more confident in working on, so it’s a bit scary for me starting on a new platform for me lol

Seems like between you and your IS300? You've matured, and/or have taken your skills to that next level. Call it necessity, or desire to learn and NOT give your hard earned $$ to shops? But I can dig your enthusiasm, and willingness to learn. Great video, overall, man. 👍

Dont do an r154 just go t56. My t56 holds 900 hp no problem i have 3 r154 the t56 is much cheaper in the long run even at 500hp

You can always UZ swap. It's the underdog swap iof this chassis, mostly because it's overshadowed by the JZs.

The secret with this car if you want power is 3UZ swap. Cheap, reliable 300 hp.

Greddy makes the RS Revolution 3" catback exhaust for this that most people don't know exists.

I disagree. This car is definitely is a sports car. If you look at the Toyota Al Tezza version overseas it’s very much a sport sedan even came turbo six manual and stuff like that. They did soften it up a little bit for the American version though.
