These HO Scale models are from the Atlas Master series, and are very solid! The models have die cast metal chassis, too, so they have some good weight to them whether you want to run them loaded or unloaded. The coal load these cars comes with is removable and interior bracing detail is also included so you can run them empty if you like! Find out more in the video.

Built in the 1980's by ACF®, the Coalveyor Bathtub Gondola operated in unit train service to deliver coal to power plants. These cars were most often lettered for the utility companies that leased and purchased them. Many are still in service today.

C&D cars were usually run in blocks of 4-12 cars. They were used for construction and demolition debris/refuse hauling.

it should be noted that these coal cars have been repurposed for scrap use... the "do not tamp" decals are to warn scrap yard workers to not push the scrap metal lading down into the car... doing so will either bulge the car sides out or poke holes in the car body sides

RTR models have taken almost all of the enjoyment out of this hobby.
