Finding Miniatures

I’ve listed all of the ways I can think that I’ve collected miniatures, but I’m sure there are other ways. If you know of any, add them in the comments below.

Here’s a breakdown of everything I mentioned in the video. If something is available online, I’ll link it too.

I’m always looking for new companies to pick up unique STLs from for 3d printing. If you have a favorite, drop it in the comments below!

That Dragonlance board game WotC made and couldn't sell was distributed to Ollie's Bargain Outlets all over the US at 1/4 or less than the cost was beforehand. For $10, it gives you six 1" minis in a variety of archetypes that come with a stone statue style paintjob, but they can be primed and painted over too. Now to figure out what to do with the rest of this board game no one wanted to play...

all over, yo.

Some of the minis i have I have zero idea where I even got them from. I got like 20 or so 'bullywugs from a gumball machine for 2 bucks (this was years ago where they were .25 cents) They were a weird rubber material and had random weapons and one had a staff so he was kinda like a shaman of sorts I guess?

You know, I've never thought of stealing them from board games before. I might just have to look at the thrift store to see if I can find any. I'd love to 3d print some day, but I don't have the time or money for that right now, sadly.

P.S. I just started watching your content and as someone who wants to GM but hasn't had a full chance yet you've inspired me for a couple of things that I can hopefully one day put into my games. I love your content

Hi! I’m a high schooler with admittedly…not a lot of money…but I’m also a pretty decent artist. Do you think it would be a good option to draw some flat minis for my campaign to use, or is there better options?

Oooh nice! In the past, I’ve used a variety of mine types… those little peg people are a bit cuter than a lot of people go for, but they’re pretty nice of you paint them well! Also, if you have some little toy figures, those can work too.

For a simple custom diy mini I suggest shrinkidinks! Cheap and you can make whatever you like. If you arnt artistic you can commission some artists to make characters!
