Haha! No one can master a quip like the King of Hollywood. Clark Gable plays Rhett Butler (and you can glimpse the amazing Vivien Leigh as Scarlett O'Hara). Enjoy. #jasonmovieguy #oscars2018

I cant believe Clark Gable was nervous about playing Rhett Butler, the role fit him like a glove. What a performance!!

The classic "don't give a damn" line is so different in the book. Rhett doesn't toss it out as a final insult. He says it quietly and sadly. His heart is broken beyond repair.

'my darling you are such a child, you think that by saying you are sorry, all the past can be corrected' my favourite line

Clark Gable is so handsome, he's a real man one hundred percent.

You forgot my favorite line, “Take my handkerchief, Scarlet. Never, at any crisis of your life, have I known you to have a handkerchief.” This is towards the end of the movie, they’re standing in the doorway when of his bedroom.

I like the way he smiles whenever he successfully teased Scarlett

It's great how the book and movie are long, yet they're both about an unsympathetic main character. Rhett and Scarlett are fascinating, flawed characters and the story doesn't work otherwise.

It’s hard to believe that Leigh is very British with an upper crust accent. She does a pretty good Southern accent here

Apparently Rhett's original line before Scarlett falls down the stairs was “Cheer up, maybe you’ll have a miscarriage, ” which was censored, but makes more sense in this context.
