It was glossed over, but what a darling entry room!!

price is so low because it was built in the late 70's, building codes for earthquake safety became much stricter in the 80's from what i understand

This is my favorite property I've seen on here so far. Even more than the luxury ones. The wood paneling is so much more inviting than the harsh exposed concrete

I like how the natural light comes into every room. Very nice house.

Judges score: 8/10. Missing some classics Hand Wash and Mirror Salute, but had a strong foundation of chop chop (= shop shop) and a very impressive teleport! Truth be told, I really like the traditional vibes on this one. But how well would it hold up in a Mega Quake?

This is a beautiful property. Wonderfully spaced and designed. Though yeah, I'd spend some money earthquake proofing it then. But it's lasted 45 years so still pretty sturdy

Here's a gem for certain!!

Note: my scoring system is based on my personal preferences, feel free to disagree.

Entrance:
That wooden shoe cabinet is glorious and the overall vibe of the space is truly excellente!

Kitchen:
This is a fantastic space, plenty of storage, fish grill and lots of natural light. The three burner stove looks great. I love that the kitchen can be open to the next room or closed off as needed.

Living/Dinning room:
It's alright, there is storage available and there is easy access to the kitchen to transfer food. The porch is alright, but with the view shown it points directly at another house, which might get awkward depending on who the neighbor is.

Toilet/wet areas:
A somewhat standard toilet with washlet, but no real issues there. The wet area is charming having the laundry machine right there when you wash up is a time saver. The additional separation between the general clothes/sink area and the bath/shower is a great feature if you have to share the space with someone else.

Upstairs/bedrooms:
That's a lot of sleeping options. I'm not the biggest fan of curved stairs but this isn't a major problem. I personally would adapt one of those upper rooms to be the main office space for working. I'm not entirely sure what the most scenic viewing options would be for my bedroom. But if I'm planning on sleeping in a western style bed I'd probably be stuck sleeping in the wooden floor room unless that would be the best place for the office furniture.

This home clearly has been completely renovated so there's not too much of a worry over rotting floor boards or hidden upkeep required.

Score:
92/100 I think the only critical thing missing from this charming home is Air conditioning and heating options, unless they were just off shot. A wonderful charming residence.

It's spacious for a 45 year old house but loved this style ❤

Finally a property that looks exactly like what I watched in Japanese cartoons.

Amazing! This is my dream Japanese home! How much is it in US dollars?

EDIT: NVM they put it in the description!

I would live there. Very minimal paint job needed and change in lighting for my taste but aside from that the house looks great. Oh the garden outside needs to be trimmed but that's not really a problem

Okay, so with that price and that distance, what you’re telling me is that Saeki Kayako (Grudge lady) is living in the attic 😂
