Great ! Congratulations ! I studied the poems and songs on the subject years ago, away. The result is that we have to read only one title, this one :
" What is a day " ...  " What if a day " is a wrong writing they made centuries ago ...
I found an extraordinary funny french text on the subject from the famous " Moyen de parvenir " by Béroalde de Verville ... certainly written prior to these english poems and in which we go to hell for a few seconds of forbidden pleasure ... so, perhaps the main source on the theme but it might have already been used centuries earlier ...
