I didn't know that Schroeder violins were made in China.... because of the German name. It makes sense now, because I inspected a high quality 'Schroed' for about 20 - 30 minutes. The workmanship is top-notch but there was something suspicious about how it was crafted. I thought maybe it was made in a modern German factory with many workers... but it felt mass-produced.... something I expected from a Chinese workshop.
Thanks for clarifying.
