VFJams LIVE! Season 2, Episode 2: Lenny Reece
Song: Covering "HeartBeat", an original song by The Lesson GK

This was an unbelievable one-take performance by Lenny Reece that could not be recreated due to the fact that Lenny had to push through food-poisoning, a sprained thumb and a broken stick to get through this video. In turn truly reflecting the rawness of the human experience. Ladies and gentlemen, Lenny "The Ox" Reece!!

Been drumming for 26 years. I have never seen someone stretch a tempo like that, so gracefully from rhythm transition, to rhythm transition. Ghost notes for days too!!!!

I’ve heard a lot of drum solos and I can count on one hand the solos that moved me to tears, this was one of them. Felt like I traveled into the heart of drumming itself! Incredibly deep rhythmic concept, yet primal! Unreal man!!! 🙌

I don’t know what to say. This dude’s control is staggering. And those snare drum sounds are a complete mystery. Truly innovative, interesting, and awesome.

Absolute brilliance, great sound from the kit, his fulcrum control is amazing, . HIs solo was captivating because you never knew what he was going to do next (punching the floor tom). Interesting set up on the floor tom, taping an upside down head on top.

Those chops on the stacked cymbals... hey I remember him giving Larnelle Lewis some cash on a funny way of showing respects after a huge solo on a snarky puppy song ..
