I do something like this sometimes while cycling, it's pretty fun to try and keep your balance. The only difference being I don't lie completely flat. What he did was amazing

He brings his ankles above the pedals such that his tip of the shoes touch the pedals. As soon as he got hold of that, he placed his feet and started pedalling. Good technique.

The dude figured out that if he decreased his frontal area to reduce air resistance while keeping his balance that would be enough to overcome the natural slowing down of the bike. That would also depend on the wind speed and direction, but whatever.
