We have a hollow 2 inch hitch that was stuck . we tried heating it up, using deep creek to break the rust, we tried, pounding it out of the hammer, nothing was working. So we used a 9” demo demon Sawzall blade. We cut the hitch Mount off, and cut the tubing at an angle. Took about 30 sec to pound it out. Spent about 5 hours trying every other method.

Almost every video I’ve seen you guys with this problem are lucky. Your hitch is hollow…mine is solid steel

So I just did the same job on my Ford Edge. Followed your method plus soaked the thing with WD40. The back end of my receiver was capped so I couldn't punch it out. Instead I drilled a hole in the stub of the hitch and dropped a bolt in it, then used a series of chisels to wedge the thing out. Took hours but it worked. Cheers !

I tie chain around hitch stem, then attach chain to immovable object then move truck forward. Always works! Except for time neighbor tie brama Bull to building kids were stealing from. When kids showed up bull pulled entire building down! So make sure what you pull from is secure!

instead of hammering it "out"... couldn't you hammer it "in"....the receiver is a through tube...seems you could just hit it into the truck and break the seal????
