"Paralyzed" is dance-infused rock song making for one of the more intense moments on my most recent album, "Let There Be Fire." Lectro Dub came on board and took it even further with his gritty, visceral vocals and lyrics! The lyrics portray a fantasy hunter and a cold-hearted monster locked in combat, both on their best game and enthralled with a skilled battle. Instead of the usual monster hunter's perspective though, this song is held mostly in the eyes of the monster itself. Playfully deadly and intelligent, the war has come to the lair of this beast and it has been preparing.

Eventually the rest of the world ceases to be - there's only you, your opponent, and the rhythm of your own heart beating in your ears.

This song... this song... it gives me chills.
I heard this album when I got back from the last day of school. I sat down in my backyard to get the atmosphere right for listening. Throughout the album, I found a ton of songs that I absolutely adored. But the *moment* this song came on, I felt something so strong coming from it. I marveled at the intro before it got to the best part- the bassline.

I couldn't help but have a huge smile on my face when I heard that. I loved it. So. Much. The melody came in, and I was thrilled, and I was never let down throughout the whole song. I love this song so much. It's my second favorite song EVER, right next to Psychoactive. This is now my go-to song whenever I get an anxiety attack or have urges. It soothes me so much and it gives me, for some reason, this feeling of nostalgia and freedom that I can't describe. Hell, I started crying when I first listened! Avi, you'll always be my favorite artist since you can create stuff that lets me feel like this. Thank you.

Also, this song always reminded me of something from Resident Evil, most of the time RE4. Not sure why!

This always gives the image of two assassins skulking eachother in the heights of some futuristic cityscape. I never did get the monster hunter vibe from this, but not that it matters.

This is probably my second favourite from the album, it’s such an amazing song and is just made better by Lectro’s vocals. Listening to when you were working on this on stream and hearing how much it changed is amazing, it’s also incredibly catchy.

Man i can't get over this song, the adrenaline it gives me, the inspiration, all the energy, I love it. This is the one song I would die for just to live inside of it

The combo here feels odd at first, but it actually blends excellently.

The background music tells me that this is an epic dance, with a dangerous lull and sudden intensity where all the action is centered. The lyrics tell me the progression of two hunters, each carefully maneuvering and attempting to outwit each other until they are confronted in abrupt and lightning-fast combat where a single mistake will be their end.

While it may sound strange that a battle between a cosmically powerful being and what we can assume to be a human or superhuman Hero would be paced like a dance, I very much disagree. Because to me, this sound like a hella funky Bloodborne boss fight.

Starting at 4:00 there's very humanizing lines, where the Monster seems to understand that the Hero is afraid of It and why, so It tries to tempt them to join It. The offer is gone as soon as it came, of course, and the Monster immediately goes back to threatening the Hero and claiming that It has already won, thus leading into the final battle.

And that's why this it works. How many Bloodborne fights have you been in that did not, in some way, feel like a brutal and bloody dance. Jumping in and out of attack, playing it safe or rushing in boldly with a decisive blow. The main line further supports this, that if you freeze for even a second, the Monster will instantly end you, leaving you as the prey.


And I, of course, am always up for an exhilarating dance with the darkness.
