𝐒𝐑𝐌𝐒 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 & 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 (𝐂𝐄𝐓𝐑), 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐲 recently organized a 𝐭𝐰𝐨-𝐝𝐚𝐲 grand ‘𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐒𝐒 𝐓𝐎𝐔𝐑𝐍𝐀𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓’ for all 𝐒𝐑𝐌𝐒 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, wherein 𝐌𝐨𝐡𝐝 𝐇𝐚𝐧𝐳𝐚𝐥 (𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐈𝐌𝐒) won the tournament in an exciting 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐞, against 𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐬𝐡 𝐘𝐚𝐝𝐚𝐯 (𝐈𝐏𝐒),displaying remarkable chess prowess throughout the tournament.

The Chess Tournament, inaugurated by 𝐄𝐫 𝐒𝐮𝐛𝐡𝐚𝐬𝐡 𝐌𝐞𝐡𝐫𝐚, Trust Advisor, was a befitting platform for students to showcase their strategic thinking abilities andmental agility, displaying healthy competition& intellectual engagement. Alongside Mohd Hanzal & Harsh Yadav, Priyam & Vaibhav (from CET) were among the semi-finalists. Organized by Colleges’ 𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛, the competition brought together students of various disciplines from 𝐒𝐑𝐌𝐒 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 & 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 (𝐂𝐄𝐓), 𝐂𝐄𝐓𝐑, 𝐒𝐑𝐌𝐒 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐍𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐒𝐑𝐌𝐒 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 (𝐈𝐏𝐒)& 𝐒𝐑𝐌𝐒 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 (𝐈𝐌𝐒), 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐲.

Towards the end, 𝐒𝐡𝐫𝐢 𝐃𝐞𝐯 𝐌𝐮𝐫𝐭𝐢,Chairman SRMS Trust felicitated the winners and runner-up with trophies &certificates in the presence of 𝐃𝐫 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐛𝐡𝐚𝐤𝐚𝐫 𝐆𝐮𝐩𝐭𝐚, Principal CET; 𝐃𝐫 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐡 𝐒𝐚𝐱𝐞𝐧𝐚, Dean Academics, CETR; 𝐃𝐫 𝐀𝐧𝐮𝐣 𝐊𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐫, Director TDP Cell; 𝐄𝐫 𝐊𝐊 𝐀𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐰𝐚𝐥, DSW & several others. 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐊𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐫, Sports Head & 𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐬𝐡 𝐊𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐫, Sports Secretary led the smooth functioning of the tournament. 𝐒𝐡𝐫𝐮𝐭𝐢 𝐆𝐮𝐩𝐭𝐚 &𝐕𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐚 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐚, Vice Presidents, Verve Club were the events’ MOC.
