Conjoined twins have life-saving separation surgery | Humankind

“That’s when we decided to put it in the hands of God." These terrified parents didn't know when to do when their baby girls were born conjoined. Thanks to a "herculean effort," their babies are now thriving.

This was the first separation surgery for conjoined twins at the Maria Fareri Children's Hospital in Westchester County, New York. Thanks to a "herculean effort" by doctors and nurses, Ballenie and Bellanie are now thriving back home in the Dominican Republic.
