Computer Course Kit | A Comprehensive Computer Guide Wrt to Hardware | Software | Network Basics

This computer course kit book is intended for those people who have little or even no knowledge of computer and its use, especially intended for the many senior citizens who possess plenty of knowledge and expertise in various fields but fail to utilize the computer for having a very little or no knowledge in its usage, the simple reason to it is that there were no computers during their educational academics. Besides, it is also intended for many youngsters who utilize computers extensively by sitting in front of computers hours together aiming at targets like preparing a word document, printing some important letter or playing games etc., but never go beyond that to know how the computer is able to fulfill their needs. In case of small error, if any found, they simply leave it to either debugging process or go to the extent of calling a service technician. All this is because of their no intention of looking into what exactly causing the problem; had it been verified or put a little effort in attending to it, a lot of time would have been saved. This all requires again a little deeper knowledge about what you are utilizing; how you are utilizing and what is the background to all this utilization.
Some people have raised doubt, during my preparation of this book, that why should it be a book when everything is available online!? Yes, why this preparation? It came to my mind also but immediately it got cleared off with the following thought replaced it.

True, online search will make everything possible to bring knowledge on hand but it would be difficult for senior citizens either to search or read content online every time to get the information they need. Such a frantic search consumes a lot of time, energy, strain in eye sight (as age plays role) as you have to go through huge volumes of content every day. They rather prefer to read or obtain information more from the books than from the internet because the old habits will die hard. Why only senior citizens? Online problem can be extended to even all categories of people like kids, youngsters, students, employees, housewives, and everyone who would like to use internet. Online facility we don’t find wherever we go or when we are on the move. Even if it is there, there again factors come in to get suitable connectivity with respect to speed, bandwidth etc. However proper online facility is just confined to cities & towns at present and still there is a need to extend to many villages.

But all these problems can be overcome if content is available comprehensively in a single book. It doesn’t require any computer or any other device or its heavy portability; it doesn’t require any internet connectivity; it doesn’t need any power to run; it doesn’t need any speed; it can travel anywhere and anytime with you.

There exactly how this book comes handy for many who are curious to know what is inside the computer; what is the background of it; how does it work and how fulfills one’s needs other than just what it appears.

Quite an effort there!! You need not use either a search engine or search light. Just you can be at ease now.

It is collective because no book, so far, gave all the information about computer- its hardware, software, network as a user perspective. It is selective because users prefer to ask questions themselves and find the answers at ease that you will not find in any book (all carry straight forward questions). In this book it is easy to get the answers for the questions that are every computer user is going to have in his /her mind.
