Exactly, speed isn't the point here. It's an entry level car from a brand celebrated for it's quality and luxury.

I drove it for about for hours on the highway and streets. It's got MORE them enough power and the 2 cars I've had had V6 engines. It's more then enough although a bigger engine would be nice. But this drivetrain setup works pretty damn well and you're not lacking for power

I am a huge Lexus fan but I also have a f56 mini cooper 136hp and it does 0-100km/h in under 8, but I love the CT

I was driving on a highway with a 2004 V6 4runner 285hp while a CT Lexus passed by tried my best to catch it but unfortunately it went gone lol i was really impressed, thinking about getting one

I love how the engine only revs to ~5500rpm before redline. It's almost like a diesel.
I rather get an Audi A3 or a Mercedes A-class over this.

EDIT: Ok, after driving one I will change my standing. On the city streets it is MUCH better than the A-class because Mercedes' 7G-DCT simply doesn't like starting & stopping during commutes. I also enjoyed the smoothness (and quietness) of the hybrid drivetrain of the CT200h, and a great thing is unlike the Audi & Mercedes where the A/C goes hot when the engine shuts off during start-stop, the CT A/C stays cold even when engine is off. The CT still feel rather lacking in highway passing maneuvers however, and the drive is only meh at best.

it is strange write this after you choose a hybrid car (witch I like too, petrol or electric engine, if quite and strong, I like it:)

CVT (constantly variable transmission) In theory it doesn't use gears but constantly adjusts the gear ratio to keep it in the power band, do it appears it's only got one gear...
