What I love about wolf is that it literally shows that the characters we love and know aren’t the only fighters around and just because we have one top dog in the valley doesn’t mean he’s the top dog everywhere else. The world is big, there’s always someone stronger and more dangerous out there.

As much as wolf is a skilled fighter, in the middle of the match he was loosing his cool as Johnny was catching up. This was also Johnny's flaw during his match with Daniel. Daniel explained to Johnny that the crane kick worked on him because he went straight at him not thinking of his next move, Johnny was starting to have his balance as the match progressed while wolf was feeling the pressure. If wolf kept his cool he could have taken Johnny down easily
