** A chant sung by the Knights Templars, it had filled their hearts with courage and purpose.
Veni, Sancte Spiritus (Come, Holy Spirit) is a traditional prayer asking for the grace of the Holy Spirit. It has been used for centuries as a prayer of private devotion. The texts appear in the propers for the feast of Pentecost in both the Mass and Divine Office and also in the votive Mass of the Holy Spirit.

I am Orthodox, but I love this chant.

As a Protestant, these songs transport me more than modern Christian songs, as beautiful as they are.
Catholics understood that the spiritual aspect of songs was a great source of meditation for prayer.
