Maybe Expats are tired of being a human ATM machine.

The truth started trickling down and more information becomes available, people travel more. Anyone who has been in Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia would see right away that Philippines is the last country in ASEAN anyone should think of as a retirement destination.

100 percent correct. I've been here for 2.5 years and never feel accepted. I have been rethinking why I'm staying here.

Sir your channel is so therapeutic for me thank you. I no longer live there but still carry frustrations from when I did and now you have validated them and confirmed it wasn't just me. Thanks again 👍

It’s very simple
Whether your earning a 1000 a month or 20000 a month or you’ve lived there for 3 years or 30. You are a visitor in there country and always will be

The old guys in the comments. Who defend the PH. The way they feel is connected to their relationship. Once the relationship goes bad then you will hear the truth. Most of the guys know that this is the last ride for most of them so they convince themselves everything is ok.

I'm an expat, here for about a year now. The inconveniences and downsides have amounted to my decision to return to America. Medical, lack of infrastructure and the corruption of gov't officials have been my reasons among many more. Mexico is my next destination... Healthcare is inadequate for me. I'm a retired expat who has married a Filippina who is onboard with my decision. I tried living in the island of Leyte. Big mistake, the locals are unfriendly to foreigners. They're more primitive and tribal than I expected I guess. Extreme poverty and reckless driving everywhere. I'm sick of it. Also no real law and order to curb the behavior. Plenty of campaign signs all over when they may show up at check points. No speed limits whatsoever.. I'm done here. Thanks..,

No nightlife. Overpriced housing. No stock. Nothing opens until 10AM. Awful food. No jobs. Barking dogs. Smelly sewer pipes. Severely emotional unstable women. Expensive retail products. No green spaces.

You have to be old with money to find a “wife”. Then you have to support her family and extended family. Fuck that.

Very true. The Philippines has become very expensive....don't believe the 1000 usd a month or less nonsense. That's a complete fantasy.

Expats leave after being fleeced to the skin. Every day in the Philippines you have to spend money. Do not expect to be able to work a decent wage in Philippines. You are here to contribute your foreign funds to this poor country so full of single mums yet so few good paying jobs and opportunities...as long as you have continuous funds you can stay, otherwise you will eventually end up broke.

You are so right, my friend. This is one of the most truthful videos on the Philippines I have ever seen. Kudos to you for your honesty.

This is part of the reason many retirees live in the exclusive areas and live inside a bubble. TBH, most of the things are common sense, and everywhere I have been, you have to be very careful as a foreigner. I have zero expectations other than warm weather and being disconnected from the West. The rest I can deal with. Their country, their rules. American exceptionalism and an attitude of superiority is not wanted nor realistic in many countries. You will never be treated as an equal in a foreign land. That is reality.

Good evening Sir, I have already been to the Philippines and I see that you are the only one who tells the truth, for example the woman who works at the hotel reception asks me why I am always alone and she invites me for tomorrow to discover the city I said okay and tomorrow she comes with 15 people from her family and they take me directly to the SM store they filled their carts with a lot of clothes and I was watching and then I went outside to smoke a cigarette and two people come to me and show me the bill and they tell me it is your family who sent us I just said that I will get the money from the bank and then I took a Taxi and left the hotel, I think they take us for a walking ATM it is shameful, I will never return to this country of beggars and profiteers
