That was my first camera. Got it when I was 13. Had such good memories I bought one in the box on eBay in perfect condition. Great camera!

WoW! This bring me some teenage memories. My parents got me a Kodak Instamatic X-15F kit in 1978 (the Kodak in the box), for my last year of high school. At the time, I didn’t understand about photography, except take this camera aim and shoot, and when you are indoor, used a flip flash. No battery required. How cool it was. My mistake I didn’t take care of my 126mm negatives, I was just happy to take picture and develop them at a Parkway developing site. I didn’t read the instruction, it was simple enough to use, my mistake I didn’t take on account the distance, so sometime I was to close and the photo was out of focus. In those days you could pick up easily 126mm film cartridge and flip flash at any stores. Eventually, I upgrade my camera to a Minolta X700, and gave my Kodak Instamatic X-15F to my niece as a toy. I enjoyed your video and the specs of the camera.

I asked my grandmother if she had some old cameras and she had this exact one. She gave it to me today and I'm really excited to have it. I love old school stuff.

My first camera was the X-15. I received it for Christmas when I was a kid. I still wish I had it!

The Kodak X-15F was my very first camera. I purchased it with my paper route earnings in 1978 at a Hardware Hank store. I was 11 yrs old and used it all the way through high school. Great little camera in its time.

Just got one of these as a freebie with a Pentax A3000. Gonna have to pick up a few adapter carts...

I had some cameras like that when I was a kid. The thing with the shutter speed decreasing when you stick in a flash cube, is the directions on my cheap camera said I could stick in a used-up flash cube to make the shutter speed slower. This would help with taking a picture when the light isn't full sunlight, but not too low like when inside a house. I would do that, to save the cost of one flash. When you're a kid, saving 25 cents is a big deal.

I actually have three rolls of this sitting in my freezer. I got it about a decade ago and it's been in there every since. I have no idea if it was good when I got it, but i have it there just in case.

Had one of these many years ago..my then girlfriend (who later became my wife) bought me one for my birthday. I believe mine was the earlier X-15 model..I remember buying single 'Magic Cube' flash cubes which mounted on top of the camera. I also remember the viewfinder window had some sort of frame within it that served as somewhat of a guide to assist in making sure you had the camera positioned correctly. Don't know what happened to it got lost or sold after I got into 35 mm photography. I keep my eyes open for a good one at flea markets, lawn sales, etc. would like to find a good one just for sentimental reason. (wife passed away) Tip about loading a 126 film cartridge with 35mm film is a good one..if a 126 film cartridge can be found at all.

I saw this today at an antique store. I was hoping that you could still buy this film. I hear that Lomography makes some hard to find film formats new. have yo tried them? if so how was the quality?

I just found my old X-15 that I haven't used in 30 years??? and there's film in it! the number 2 is displaying in the little window in the film cartridge so I think that means there have only been 2 shots taken on the roll, right? Or are 2 remaining? Anyway, will a photo shop be able to develop the film after all this time?

Cool video!! Can I ask something pls? How can We managed the overexposed and multiexposure? Should We skip 1-2 frame (with shoot it at complete darkness) to make the images not being multiexposed?

I heard that you can buy something to make the 35mm hack easier.

I just got one of these at a flea market and its still loaded with someones 126 film! I wasted a few exposures not knowing it worked. Now there is a red plastic rectangle hanging in the view finder and i can't figure out if that's supposed to be there does anyone know?
