Portland Timbers player Roy Miller and team mascot Timber Joey were welcomed to Rigler Elementary School by Superintendent Guadalupe Guerrero. The visit was part of the team’s Rose City Readers program that encourages children to read. The Panthers read a total of 5,350 minutes last week. The students also listened as Roy and Timber Joey read to them in both English and Spanish.
