Hi Bryony! Thank you so much for your review! With our solid shampoos, we highly recommend applying the bar directly to your roots is more effective than lathering between your hands. The surfactants (foaming ingredients) in the bars end up binding with the oils in the hand as well, rather than just the oils in your hair, so you’re pretty much washing your hands. So happy to hear that you're loving In Your Face, it's a great cleanser, isn't it!? Have you heard of our solid conditioner, The Guardian, it's formulated for dry hair, which may work better than Wonderbar (which has been formulated for oily to normal hair) :) Thanks again for your review.
