How to Tie the Kalmyk Loop

The Kalmyk Loop is often used by bushcrafters as this loop knot is very easy to tie and as it is slipped, it is extremely easy to untie. It is possibly an alternative to the Bowline?

Hey Bro, I just now found your channel recently. I can appreciate why you you have preferred short form content in the current condition of youtube . But I will say I really enjoyed your longer explanations and the stories/histories of the knots and "what knot" that I have seen from your back log of videos. I hope to see more, God bless.

I've saw many videos of quick kalmyk loop metod but those could not help me to learn it. After this video i totally understand how!

That's crazy! Thank you! I wonder which is more secure the Kalmyk or the Ivensk? 🤔
I think you may have to do a comparison. 👍🏻

Nicely done. Thank you. BTW, our six weeks of autumn is half over. Three weeks ago, our high temp was about 39°C. Within three weeks, we can expect first frost. And the first freeze comes before October's end. Autumn is nice, but I wish it were longer.

I always wondered what Michael Caine was doing these days 😀

Your demonstrations of knots are some of the clearest to follow on YouTube. Thanks for this great resource.

seems like it might collapse if slick rope and light or uneven bouncing tension..

Have you tried the spear knot? I find it easier and quicker than the kalmyk loop.

What's with the Skull 'n' Bones? Is something dangerous here? I don't understand.

Thanks for your videos, but this particular knot may be the worst of all. Confusing. Nearly every video has a different method of tying...
