What happened to Silas?

Silas was a companion to the apostle Paul. When Paul was arrested with Silas, they witnessed an earthquake while in prison that led to the conversion of the jailer.

Paul and Silas also traveled extensively together on mission trips to Thessalonica, to Berea, and to Athens. And along the way, they encountered all kinds of opposition, persecution, beatings, etc. But throughout all of this, Silas continued to be very faithful.

So the Bible doesn't record exactly what happens to Silas, but a Church tradition holds that he likely died in Asia Minor as a martyr faithfully preaching Jesus.
