The kids are playing an online game. Your partner is streaming a movie and downloading something for work. You’re trying to compete with them for bandwidth… but it just isn’t happening.

A lot of things can drain your internet bandwidth capacity. Most of the time, it is the people on your network you know about. At other times, it is malware or a network intruder.

It can get so bad you cry out “What is using my bandwidth?!” It is a good question. Here’s how you can check and troubleshoot what (or who) is using your bandwidth across your home network.

On the Router Interface page what area shows the Bandwidth usage? Is it the GHZ figures or the Upload/Download figures?

What router do you recommend to see bandwidth usage by device? My current orbi router does not provide this info so I am not able to isolate the device consuming the most bandwidth

Hello, i found this video super helpful. Am i also able to figure out how much data a particular devise is using in a home. I have a rental and a few people live their and recently the data usage has spiked and charges have spiked. Do you have a video on specific data devise usage . I am using my own router and modem!! Why or how does a device that says it is the owners device show on using bandwidth while the devices power has been turned off, or show up twice (repeated) when power is on.

NOT all routers provide this data. Netgear Orbi for example does not.

I am just wonder if my computer or orbi router is infected
I logged in my WiFi via my computer and I did a speed test and only 10mpbs show up for my download speed
And I supposed to have 700-1000 mpbs
It seems my WiFi speed is limited on my computer
