Scientists may have found a way to help you turn off your hunger without reaching for that office candy bowl.

According to researchers from Harvard Medical School and the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK), a brain circuit called a melanocortin-4 receptor-regulated (MC4R) circuit — a collection of neurons that communicate to each other to regulate brain activity — may be manipulated to control hunger in mice.

These experiments may lead to further research to develop more effective weight loss drugs, the authors of this study said.
