I’ve held off on watching/listening to this version…not because I had any doubts about SIP doing right by Linkin Park, but because of the memories and feelings I was afraid would come back to the surface. Growing up listening to LP their music really got me through a rough childhood dealing with abuse and a narcissist parent. I can remember blasting this song as loud as I could while I would be driving and just almost screaming these lyrics. I swear it was like LP knew exactly what it felt like and their lyrics just hit me a certain way. To say I was devastated when Chester died is an understatement. LP remains one of my top favorite bands to this day. SIP…thank y’all for doing this cover justice…you managed to stay true to the original AND make it your own, which I have no idea how you managed, magic I guess. I think Chester would approve. ♥️ And thank y’all for the trip down memory lane, sometimes it’s good for the soul to lay some demons to rest.

Linkin Park has a very special place in my heart. Chester's voice and the band's melodies honestly helped save my life and kept me going in some really dark times. LP also had a specific niche in my musical tastes, and honestly I hadn't been able to scratch that particular itch since Chester passed... until I stumbled onto SIP a few years ago. Y'all making this crossover is a bizzare mix of excitement and bittersweet memories and honestly it's wonderful to listen to.
