Gladys Berejiklian's Coalition government has been returned to power in New South Wales for a historic third term, but at a cost. Apparently the Liberal party were promising regional fast rail between the major centres like Newcastle, Canberra and the Illawarra.

Hopefully they make good on their word. I have confidence in this government after they delivered the Sydney metro on time and under budget.

It's going to be a monumental task to connect Newcastle and Canberra in under 40minutes. But it will be game changing and worth it. Just hope they don't entrust our infrastructure to another despicable Spanish multinational company. Their track record is atrocious
