Edit 8/19/24: That fix only lasted a few weeks. I have since fixed it again using the same principles in this video, except this time I used a deep well socket instead of a flat-blade screwdriver. I found the smallest deep well socket I had that would fit around the bolt (don't use a larger one) and then tapped the socket with a rubber mallet with a good bit of force. This method applies force all the way around the guide all at once instead of at just two points at a time. This fix has proven to be much more effective and has held up VERY well for many months now.

Original: Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! This video just saved me a ton of time and money replacing the entire threshold. Such an easy fix, too. I just took a flat blade screwdriver and a rubber mallet and tapped on where the guide and bolt meet. I did that all the way around each bolt/guide and the threshold now stays in place as it is supposed to.

I’ve had a droopy spot on my threshold for about two years and finally looked up how to fix it. I wish I would have done that a long time ago because it took all of ten minutes. Thanks for the help!

Thanks! One of my adjustment screws won't release. It just turns freely, preventing me from removing the strip. Any ideas?

I screwed them down too much and now the screws won't turn either way. How would i fix that?

Probably be easier if you used a socket and tapped it in.

use a deep well socket instead of nail sets, it's easier.
