At least Congress got to see the bill before they were asked to vote on it. Differences of opinion can produce healthy results. McCarthy didn't pass the bill on his own. He just presented it to Congress. The choice is in the hands of the peoples' representatives. Even though I don't agree with the spending in the bill... just sayin.

If you can not pay your bills it means your economy is in bad state. Same rule applies for ordinary citizen and companies. So to avoid default, you lend more money? Wait a minute - what insane bank gives loans if you already have a huge debt? None!
But how is this possible to raise the debt ceiling for the 60th something time?
Who will pay the debts of trillions of dollars? This sounds like a big hoax ponzi style scheme.

No other country in the world has this nonsense called a debt ceiling. It like the electoral vote, supreme court judges for life and guns for all needs to be changed. True democracy does not have electoral votes but simple majority. The former GOP only wins once in a while because of the electoral vote. They haven't won a popular vote in ages.
