MyMedic - MyFAK Large Review

Показать описание
The MyMedic MyFAK Large is a multi-person first aid kit designed to treat everything from minor headaches to life threatening bleeding. In this video I go through what I like and don't like about this kit and discuss what I will change before I use it as a car first aid bag.

PREPMEDIC20 for 20% off all MyMedic Products

*MyMedic recently bought RATS TQ (which I am not a fan of). If you are buying a kit from MyMedic my recommendation is to message or call MyMedic and ask for a SOFT-W or CAT to be put in the kit instead of a RATS*

Rat tourniquets are great. You can use them to tie down a Christmas tree to your roof, or maybe clean up some messy wires behind your computer. I think a rats is as good or better than Home Depot twine.

Din’t know how you find the time and energy, but you are producing amazing amounts of great/unique content, and clearly have the breadth/depth of knowledge experience to address the use of each kit/item and to break everything down for the general public.

I’m from Mexico, thanks for all your videos, are very didactic and easy to understand.

Thanks for the review. Very nice. I just used the discount. Saved me $50. Thanks a bunch!

Thank you for reviewing this kit. I've been viewing it for months.

Oh Thank God Bro! As a fellow Paramedic, I wouldn't tie my boots with a RATS TQ. Great video as always

Trail Recon's channel reviewed the smaller condor style pouch version of this kit.
Also, regarding the hard to find because of all the pockets, always look in your kit! Get to know where things are, see if anything is missing, and/ or add or replace items.

I post this on every IFAK video I remember to.

If youre not in a warzone with people who have already been screened and denied over diabetes... you need glucose gel in your med kit.

Glucose gel comes in packets with 15g of glucose. 15g of glucose is the suggested dosage for hypoglycemic diabetic shock. And gel (unlike tablets) can be administered to an unconscious patient.

Add glucose gel packets to your med kit. You will be around more diabetics than GSWs anywhere outside the military.

I have the small IFAK from My Medic in the basic form. I was able at the times to get a CAT tourniquet. I haven’t had to use it but I take it with me when I go with my mother to her second house in the country.

I just want to say I love your channel! It creates such a great environment for all providers. I must ask though where did you get your quaterzip? I’ve seen it in a few of your videos.

I added a CAT tourniquet and more Dynalube to my kit. All in all I'm satisfied with it.

*Good stuff for the price and great size for their kit.*
*I would like to see a review of their Medic advanced bag ($1, 250).*

I'd love to get their largest kit. It'd be a good thing to review and see what you'd change. I'd also need training on how to properly use everything and different situations wherever I'd go for that but it'd be worth it

Pretty nice basic kit. It covers a lot of areas and would be good for an average person to keep in the car and/or take it camping, etc. The one downside that I see, and you touched on it, is they use their own "home brand" materials. I have certain personal preferences for items like HyFin chest seals, SAM splints, SOFT-W or CAT tourniquets, H&H H bandage pressure dressings, etc. Some items I'm willing to pay for the peace of mind of what I consider quality items. And the price for this set-up is a little more than I would be willing to pay for a kit filled with other than optimum (IMO) materials. Good, honest review. Peace.

You can only customize the TQ selection with their MedPacks line, I believe. Kind of weird you can't choose the CAT with their larger kits.

Great videos. Very informative. Do you have any videos reviewing empty trauma or medical bags for carrying essential items (CATs, Chest seal, dressings, SAM splints, ETC.) I want to make my own bag.

I like the pack. Unfortunately can’t use the kit contents here in Europe. Too bad. Keep on, great videos. Best regards from a German college

Thank you for another great review. What is your recommendation on the best iFAK available on the market?

As a former paramedic, I would get a dry bag, and fill it with what is essential for my mission
