I was so impressed and entertained with the first movie. What a master piece. I saw th David Lynch movie many times, played Dune 2, Dune 2000 and emperor battle for Dune. And Now Denis Villneuve is delivering us the most epic rendition of the story. And man, I just absolutely love the music, Hans Zimmer deserved that academy award 200%. Can't wait.

Having seen what Villeneuve did with part 1, all I can say is "Fuck. Yes.". I've watched the first one 5 times already and it's every bit as entertaining each time as it was the 1st. The cast, the pacing, the dialogues, the special effects, the fight scenes... Great cinematography. Best I've seen in years. Can't wait for the 2nd part.

I'm so old I remember the 1984 movie coming out, and before seeing it, I anticipated that it wouldn't be very good, because I thought this book was pretty much impossible to make into a movie. My expectations were met, that movie wasn't good, although I gave them credit for making the attempt. Seeing this superb version in 2021 was a shock. I wouldn't have thought it possible that such a great film could be made of this story. The book had lots of back story, internal dialogue, complicated exposition. From what I've heard, Denis Villneuve (not sure I spelled it right) was kind of a fanatic on this book and read it many times. He must have put an enormous amount of effort into working out how to transmit all of this visually. Well, he really pulled it off. The movie was mesmerizing. Can't wait for the next installment, really looking forward to it.

I got to see Hans Zimmer live this year and heard a song I didn't recognise, watched Dune for the first time 2 months ago and knew immediately I'd heard the Dune soundtrack without even knowing it. Cannot explain the chills I got, can't wait to see Dune 2. Loving the books too.

dune has to be the first movie / series since harry potter that completely puts you into their world in just one movie. The style of videography is stunning in these films. i cant wait to see the 2nd one.

Villeneuve has proven that he has a very high standard. Looks like he'll be riding that sandworm of excellence all the way through this series.

Denis Villeneuve made a good call splitting this into two parts. Part of the problem with David Lynch's adaptation, was that there was too much left out or rushed/cramned in because of how dense the novel is. So, making the first book a two-partner gives it some levity and room to focus on more. Also, while I understand some felt the ending of the first half seemed sort of abrupt, to me, ultimately that was where Paul Atreides's story ends, and now this is where Paul Muad'dib's own begins.

This trilogy will go down in history as one of the greats that made a breakthrough in Cinema like the OG Star Wars trilogy, LOTR the Matrix, and others. Something I think people in the future can look back on and say: wow, this was groundbreaking for its time. Imagine how cool it would have been to see in theaters.
