In the meantime the car in the background is drifting while turning.

Yes! He's a real bike guy. I'm just now tuning up my winter ride. Basically, it's a vintage road touring frame on more modern wheels. I run some studded Schwalbe 32mm tires. They are awful tires for a road bike, but marvelous if you wish to ride a road bike on anything.

Great tips. Low gear is also critical if you need to keep pedaling through brown sugar. It allows you to keep a higher cadence that'll help you maintain balance.

Thanks for the wise advice. I try to keep my bike straight and upright. Works on loose gravel also.

Don't be fooled. If you ride on ice without studs you will go down. You need friction on the tires to keep you upright. If you can't walk on it you won't be able to ride on it with a bicycle. You can ride on snow and slush such as what's displayed here.

I just fell off yesterday, and hurt my left shoulder. Don't suddenly break your front tire.

What’s the name of your jacket? I need a jacket with pit zips to keep from overheating when riding

How did you attach that mudguard on low tube?

Low gear is not gonna help, high torque on the rear wheel causes it to lose traction and the bike just is out of control in difficult conditions.
