Is Nan Xiang Xiao Long Bao Better Than Joe's Shanghai ?
Nan Xiang Xiao Long Bao's soup dumplings have often been mentioned as being better than Joe's Shanghai so we had to try the soup dumplings there to see for ourselves. Since Joe's Shanghai popularized soup dumplings, we hold them as the standard by which others are measured against. Besides soup dumplings, Nan Xiang also has many other good Chinese food dishes that we want to try. #soupdumplings #chinesefood #dumplings #nycfood #nyceats #chinatownnyc #dumplings #foodblogger #foodreview #foodie

You were lucky finding the shanghai fried udon tasty! We had same dish at the flushing site. Its actually my go to (favorite) dish at shanghai restaurants. But NanXiang did such a bad job: it was not hot enough in temperature and we had to look very hard to find a couple strands of pork. It was just carb, a doughy order. I would not recommend that! However the service at the Flushing restaurant was awesome 5*

Did the udon dish have that "wok breath" taste? Getting harder and harder to find

Joe Shanghai haven’t been as good as it early days on Pell.. even in the later days on Pell, it’s been a tourist gimmick restaurant.. and don’t get me started with Mei Li Wah and their fat jelly roast pork bun.. bring back Hop Sing.. that was the best roast pork bun ever
