In this video, we dive into the incredible capabilities of Kling, a new text-to-video AI model from a Chinese company, which competes closely with OpenAI's Sora. Join us as we react to several AI-generated video clips including a child eating a burger, a corgi on the beach, a panda playing guitar, and more. We discuss the potential of this technology, its implications for filmmaking and creativity, and the challenge of accessing Kling due to regional restrictions. Could Kling be the future of AI video generation? Watch to find out!

Panda is actually playing B minor and D minor, but half a tone higher because of the capo.

Wow the panda is actually changing chords when playing the guitar.

Can't wait to see open source models that reach something near this level of quality.

I don't know if Sora can even do those eating videos...that is extremely complicated. Notice how the guy sucks in the noodles...not only does it understand he's supposed to be eating, it understands *what* he is eating, same with the cheeseburger. It even takes the bite out, when he moves it from his mouth you see the chunk that was taken out of it. The liquid pouring is again something I don't think Sora can do. At this rate, Sora's gonna be old news bears by the time it comes out.

I noticed that within the panda video, the water speed matches the strum speed which is obviously not natural.

you know what, China not only has Kling, Vidu was also developed by China's team. .Vidu's paper was published more than a year before sora. Chinese company is just not good at boasting and playing the financial market. they still didn't understand this profit model, which doesn't mean they doesn't have technology. As soon as the US company side came out, it told stories, talked about the impact, started the fourth industrial revolution, and soon received a large amount of investment. The stock prices of related companies also rose sharply, and there was no money problem at all.

The underlying physics model is so impressive. he bike only turns if the front wheel is facing in that direction, the onions not only stick to the knife, the pile also shifts as more as cut leaving the other half that isn't being cut unaffected, it's still imperfect in some spots but you don't get this level of quality without some implicit model of the laws of physics.

I just got on the waitlist! 🎉🎉

I'm so stoked, can't wait to get in. It says there are 46k other users on the list, though.

Thanks to my Chinese friend, I owe you one big time!

On Chinese social media that many people in China are now using it to create their own videos, indicating that it is widely accessible to the public now.

It looks like we have a new Kling of AI video.

They're running around in Sora generated worlds already. Sora was completed in March 23. It's pretty hard to release a world simulator as it comes with a lot of implications.Meanwhile enjoy this simulation you're in right now. Patience Jimmy...

As a creatively minded person with a crippling inability to express my thoughts in any physical way this sort of tech is insane, I've often wanted a pocket artist that I could spit ideas at and have them visualize it so to speak, imagine the potential in all fields like an inventor being able to visualize an idea, its a new way to pitch ideas i.e "imagine this" becomes kind of obsolete or at least less required.

I am a British expat living in China. With helps of my friend we downloaded the Ai app using my local phone number. We applied to use the Ai as at the moment we can only download Kling videos already made in the library. We will have to wait a few days to see if my application was approved.

I can't believe you didn't use AI to translate the Chinese app!

This is amazing from Kling -
"Thanks to efficient training infrastructure, extreme inference optimization and scalable infrastructure, the Keling large model can generate videos up to 2 minutes long with a frame rate of 30fps."

These things are getting crazy good. Super impressive, but not perfect. If you look for them, the AI signs are there. Such as:
1. Close up, cheeks and chin movements of the kid eating the burger look a little off. The cheeks especially balloon out in slightly odd ways when he's chewing. And the joint creases in his fingers vary, and appear and disappear.
2. The dog is not leaving pawprints in the sand. Also, the shadow of his leg "teleports" at one point.
3. The panda's, um, private parts look a bit odd. And the movements of the head and upper body are little too, I don't know, blubbery and jelly-like.
4. Unnatural motion blur when the parrot turns his head. And its left eye is red but his right eye is orange. And that teardrop shape on its beak is red on the left but black on the right side. And he has orange feathers on the left side of his head but not the right.
5. The liquid looks really accurate, but foam wouldn't act exactly that way when pouring. This one is slight, though.
6. The flowers look pretty good. There is some weirdness with the way some of the smaller petals are opening.
7. The rabbit is good enough for a CG movie.
8. The emperor angelfish's eyes are moving independently, like a chameleon. They don't do that.
...and more on the other videos, if you look for them.
Overall, though -- amazing tech.
