This video was absolutely perfect. Great description too. I watched it and changed my brakes and rotors with no issue. Thanks for posting this.

Thank you so much, I could not for the life of me find the size of the bolts for the calipers, and I was convinced it was bigger than a 10mm. Amazing descriptions, thank you so much!

I watched a lot of videos on this topic, and this was by far the best and most accurate. My 2016 A6 now has smooth brakes. Thanks!!

Great video and it matched up with my 356mm rotors (except for the T45 as mentioned in the comments) the one thing I found out is the that the sensor has a silver metal U shaped clip that keeps the sensor snug in the pad. If the clip is missing the sensor will not be tight and will cause the BRAKE light to come on. Sometimes it sticks to the old pad and sometimes the new sensors are missing it. BUT it is necessary.

I normally don’t comment on videos, but your demonstration was absolutely perfect. I didn’t think I could do it before watching you, and I just both wheels today.

You probably saved me $1, 500.00. If those likes indicate other people who did this themselves instead of taking it to a shop, you have saved us $1.8 million collectively 😮

God Bless

My car is 2016 A6 3.0 with the same wheels shown in the video. My rotors are 356mm. You need a 9mm ALLEN socket for the slide pin bolts. I missed that in the video the first time, and my set didn't have this size. Also The torx is T-45.

My original rotors warped with 26K miles, and I just installed Centric High Carbon Plain 125 rotors and Centric Posi-Quiet Semi-Metallic Pads, and everything is smooth now. Thank you so much sir for posting this excellent video. Everything spot on.

Great video! Currently my breaks don't need to be changed but the last guy who did them used a really cheap brand and they are squeaking like crazy. No service light is on, but my question is if I change the front pads and sensors will I still need a scan tool? I don't have one

Thanks for the video. Felt super confident going in but unfortunately stripped the T40 bolt and didn’t get a chance to finish the job lol

Outstanding instructions.
I was wonder if all Audi rotors and brakes are generally like this ?
we have 2016 q5 3.0T- so this helped tremendously.
I’ve Done brakes on my Jaguar & Honda.. but Audi is next up.
Best video instruction wise I’ve seen without any confusion or misguidance.

Great video. One comment, I usually try to keep the grease off of the new pad surfaces. Probably not a big deal and gets burned off quickly.

Thanks, great video, after reinstalling my brakes, the pedal would go nearly to the floor. I bled the system twice, and it still had excessive travel. If I pump the brakes it starts to stiffen back up and act normal but then again 15 seconds of driving, excessive pedal travel againnearly to the floor. Any suggestions?

Hey bro very good video although even when I followed your steps thoroughly somehow when I installed the new brakes and my wheels the rim hits on the calipers I don’t know what I’m doing wrong, it would seem that the new brake pads are too thick but I made sure to get the right ones. Would really appreciate some help

Great video. I thought this was impossible to do without a VDS computer to retract the pistons.
