The Samsung Galaxy A54 5G looks to be a tempting upgrade for those on the hunt for a mid-range blower, boasting a refreshed design, premium materials and a promise of two-day battery life.
The upgraded materials mean Samsung’s £499 Galaxy A54 feels nice in the hand, and the upgraded 50MP camera with a larger sensor should provide a jump in quality compared to its predecessor, but is it enough to tempt consumers from popular mid-range alternatives like the Google Pixel 6a?

A54 smokes the A53 & A52s. 8gb ram over 6. Glass back. Wifi 6 over 5. Better camera. Newer Bluetooth. Newer 5g modem. Support upto Android 17. Adaptive 60-120hrz display with 1, 000 nits brightness. 5, 000mah battery with 5nm processor & Adaptive display =Awesome battery life. New updated design. 3.1ufs memory. Louder stereo speakers. Water proof 💧. The A52s is maybe going to be supported for 1 more year...all it has is a comparable processor that's a "snapdragon" and it may still beat the a54 in benchmarks woopie woop. I'll take all the other improvements

Using the s21 fe right now but this looks much sexier. But I think the snapdragon 888 will still be faster. But much more plastic and lower camera specs ..

There's a lot of misinformation floating around at the moment. Does it, specifically, clearly, have adaptive refresh rates? Yes/No? Because compared to some reviews the A54 does not have an adaptive refresh rate, only fixed at 120hz.

The A53 doesn't have uniform bezels on the top and side. So solve this, Samsung decides to thicken the side bezels rather than reducing the top bezel. I was really thinking of buying this for my Mom but might get the A53 instead. I'll wait for the benchmark comparison before deciding.

I don't think a glass back is an upgrade. I prefer glastic as doesn't show up fingerprints and is more durable

I just received mine 4days ago, and sadly the 2 days batt. Life is far from reality, it drains real fast.

I really wish the top range Samsung Brough back SD Slots. As the A54 looks very good value for money except again for chip it's using. I wish Samsung wouldn't use its own chip set and use Snapdragon 7 gen 2.
And had wireless charging on the 256GB version.
