“This version of Big Chungus has no idea what Wheat Thins are.” is a sentence I was not expecting to hear during this video but also I am very happy that I did.

This reminds me of when I was 12, back in the 2e days. My brother and I didn't realize you were supposed to buy The Players Handbook first, so we bought the Complete Wizards' Handbook instead and tried to reverse engineer all the rules based on that. This was pre-internet and we didn't know anyone else who played, so we had no idea how the game was supposed to be played and would just make up random stuff.

"That's it. I throw the sun at him."
That is my new motto for anyone annoying I meet.

"my character had countless battles before, confronted many evils, traveled the whole world searching for power, is famous for hunting down massive creatures, escaped death many times, was forged by the trials of his land, killed countless enemies, was basically a god"

*starts lvl 1, almost dies after fighting 1 bear and then die after trying to climb a rock and failing a roll*

This reminds me of the one time I tried to DM for a bunch of stoners, while I was the only one sober.

Herding cats isn't even close to a descriptor.

A friend of mine once asked me what the point of having rules and dice and set character classes is if the goal of D&D is to collectively tell a story. This. This is why.

I actually run dnd for kids, and I’ve only ever really had one kid like this, but there was one thing they all had in common, they were all murderhobos. Scary ones too. They described in disturbingly vivid detail tearing people apart, limb by limb, organ by organ, before finally killing them. First couple times were genuinely shocking. Now it’s par for the course. They also have low attention span so I just need to keep them in combat and they’re satisfied.

I have often joked that this is exactly what D&D is, we just have character sheets and dice so that we can't literally just do literally anything we want. excellent video, and excellent job capturing that rambling kid imagination energy.

Not accurate, you missed the edgy kid who plays the *inhales*
Half Asimar
half kalashtar
Blood hunter
Artificier Wizard
With the Haunted One background and the Hollow One trait from the explorers guide to wildemount
And he is haunted by his own very being.
He does not run from evil because of that haunting, but also he hate divine beings because all the gods sent me down after killing numerous mortals (he was basically a god before that, but that doesn't really matter all that much).
He had divine powers so he hate all of them for locking him in that mortal coil.
Also, he refuses to be a victim, so that all back and forth causes a lot of doubt in his mind.

This is one of the funniest skits so far

Can confirm, this is accurate. When me and my friends started playing dnd we were really young and we didn't know the system at all. We would just say we do something roll a dice and if we rolled high we would do it and if not we wouldn't that was the entire game. Also if you got a nat 20 you just instantly killed every enemy in a cool way and if you rolled a nat 1 you fell on your sword and died.

As some who played dnd when I was twelve, this is insanely accurate. One think that commonly happened was the players trying to kill each other and that wasn’t there but everything else was spot on.

"Kyle, that was three weeks ago. How could you expect me to remember that?"
This was the most realistic line Ive heard from any 12 year old
