This is why the metal scene is great. A metal gig or festival is one place where race, religion, gender, age and nationality become irrelevant, and that's a very powerful and positive thing. No one cares how you dress or what you do for a living or how much you earn. Everyone is family, a tribe, even though you don't know each other from a bar of soap. I was lucky enough to see Orphaned Land in March and that's exactly how I felt in the crowd - they brought everyone together. I personally don't think any other music scene is as strong as the metal scene in that regard.
